Arranging an assessment
Outpatient appointments are booked through the hospital on the numbers below; international patients can ask for Michael Yu. Bring photographs of your face from several years ago if you have them, because a change this slow is invisible month to month and obvious across years, and bring the list of anything you have already tried, including anything bought online.
What a good assessment covers
The state of your skin and how much sun it has collected, where your face holds volume and where it has lost it, how the soft tissue is supported, and what is structure you were born with rather than something that has changed. You should leave able to say which of the things you asked about are worth treating, which are not, and which are a decision about commitment rather than a treatment.
Asking about the plan
Ask what would make this the wrong treatment for your face. Ask what the plan looks like in three years if you keep it up, and what happens if you stop. Ask the clinician what they would leave alone if this were their own face. A clinician who answers that last question specifically is assessing you rather than presenting to you.
Before you commit
No decision needs to be made at the first appointment, and nothing that repeats should be started before an assessment is complete. Take the plan away, read it against the guides on this site, and come back with questions. A discount that expires, or pressure to start today, is information about the clinic rather than about your face.
